About the artwork

Located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., the United States Capitol is an iconic symbol of American democracy and the seat of the United States legislature. This impressive building, with its distinctive dome and neoclassical architecture, houses both the Senate and the House of Representatives, the two chambers of Congress.

This photo of the Capitol shows a breathtaking view of one of the most iconic buildings in the United States. The image captures the grandeur of neoclassical architecture with its imposing white marble façade and majestic dome rising proudly above the Washington D.C. skyline. The dome, topped with a gold top and adorned with sculptures, appears to shimmer in the sunlight, enhancing the enormous scale and impressive design.

The Capitol is not only an architectural masterpiece, but also a historical and political center. Construction began in 1793 under the direction of architect William Thornton, and over the years several architects, including Benjamin Latrobe and Charles Bulfinch, contributed to the building's expansion and embellishment. The biggest adjustment occurred during the Civil War, when the dome was enlarged to reflect the growth of the country.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
