The Dark Hedges is the most famous road in Northern Ireland thanks to the Game of Thrones series.
Actually, this road is called Bregagh Road but in the HBO series it is called Kingsroad.
Around 1775, James Stuart built a new house called Gracehill House after his wife Grace Lynd. More than 150 beeches were planted along the entrance road to the estate to create an imposing driveway. The manor house still exists and can also be visited.
Although this place is (thankfully) not a tourist attraction with much to do, it is not easy to take a photo without walkers, cyclists, cars's or coaches in it. For lovers of such'a picture, there is only one tip: go 'early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
