The work is an original painting with an Italian touch! The theme is about deep emotions of love and longing, of great passion and the murmur of the sea.
Inspired by a very old typical song
from Puglia-southern Italy!

My husband and I have recently moved to southern Italy
and everyone knows the song, very beautiful.
There are lots of versions of this famous song.

It tells the impossible love story between a noble lady and a soldier, at a time when no one could escape their roles.

A Tale of Love and Longing

This painting is part of a diptych and I got to create it for an Italian couple!
The woman especially wanted bright, warm and cheerful colours
and the rest was free.

It was made quite abstract and intuitive with that song in mind....
I painted it with a lot of love at the time and the buyer was very happy with it too!

This work is warm and really suits passionate people with Mediterranean furnishings, for example.
One gets a real love story in the house with the lady as a fish and the bird, the soldier in love as a metaphor, plus the energy of water, the ocean, source of life!

Original painting is 50 by 35 cm in width.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
