This work centres on a classic Delft Blue vase, filled with a bouquet that immediately stands out for its soft colours and rich details. The vase itself is decorated with traditional blue floral motifs recognised from the Dutch ceramic tradition. Above the vase unfolds a bouquet of white, salmon and light blue flowers, each carefully elaborated in shape and texture.
The combination of the bright blue porcelain and the warm hues of the flowers gives the still life a typically Dutch look. You can see references to 17th-century flower arrangements, but the whole is less rigorously constructed, making it feel more natural and accessible. A few fallen petals on the table top provide a small, human detail that makes the work even more vivid.
For this piece, I was inspired by the Dutch masters, but I wanted to create a version that is appropriate for this day and age. Therefore, the work was created using artificial intelligence, blending the classic look and modern technology. In an interior, this artwork brings a calm, elegant atmosphere, with a recognisable nod to Dutch art and history.
