This beautiful holm oak dominates a hill in the Val d'Orcia near Buonconvento in Tuscany.
It is a secular tree near Pieve a Salti farm, estimated to be around 120 years old, and can be seen from miles away.
I shot this scene of strong contrasts on May 2023, a stormy month like it hasn't happened for many years.
Since it wasn't very windy, I opted for a long exposure that was short enough to blur the clouds slightly.
