The blossom hangs in pink bunches from the branches of the Japanese cherry. A feast for the eye in early spring, especially a lovely image against the clear blue sky. In Japan they celebrate a true feast when the trees are in blossom and they celebrate life and transience, because they only bloom for a short time.
