In the early morning, when the world is still shrouded in a soft haze, the buzzard sits motionless on a weathered wooden pole. Its sharp eyes scan the endless fields, looking for movement among the tall grasses. The morning dew hangs over the landscape like a silver veil, and the silence is broken only by the soft rustling of the wind.
He has sat here many times before, like an invisible ruler of his hunting grounds. Passers-by may see him as just another bird, but to nature, he is a symbol of strength and patience. His feathers, a mixture of dark brown and beige, make him almost blend into the environment, as if he is one with the earth itself.
Suddenly, he tenses his muscles. In the distance, something moves. In a split second, he spreads his mighty wings and dives down, like a shadow gliding across the plain. The Keeper of the Plain is always alert, always ready to fulfil his role as master of the sky.
