About ‘The Kop van Zuid, bird's-eye view’ by Jim van Iterson

The skyline of Rotterdam, In the foreground a number of bright yellow water taxis at the stop near Hotel New York. The former headquarters of the Holland America Line appears small amid the surrounding skyscrapers such as: the Waterstadtoren, the Harbour Office, Montevideo, New Orleans. Between the towers, the Erasmus Bridge (the Swan) can be seen. We can also see the Nieuwe Maas and part of the Rijnhaven bridge. In the Rijnhaven is a two-masted sailing ship. It is a summer day with blue sky and white clouds. The cityscape is photographed from a high vantage point so that there is a good overview of the modern, dynamic city. The use of a wide-angle lens makes the cityscape more extensive in height and width.
An image for anyone who loves Rotterdam or keeps fond memories of the city. Furthermore, it can be used very well for city promotion.
