The Sint-Martinus church in Weert is a so-called hall church. There are two extant examples of this building type in late Gothic style in the Netherlands. The St Martinus church belongs to the top 100 of the Rijksdienst voor de Monumentenzorg because of the exceptional quality of the detailed and colourful vault paintings.
