About ‘The Monastery of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity), Meteora’ by Ferdinand Mul

Even when you see it you can hardly believe it. So magnificent, so evocative. Founded by monks who sought peace and tranquility on the sandstone cliffs. With ropes and pulleys the monks hoisted goods and people sometimes up to 40 meters. The Agia Triada is the 2nd oldest and was founded in the 14th century.

Photography started as a hobby and has now grown into my work. I see my pictures as an illustration of the wonderful places and cultures that are around us. I can therefore endlessly marvel at the things that I see and encounter. I try to convey that sense of wonder through my photos. Thus I hope to transfer some of the wonder that I felt on my audience.
