When I am in the mountains, I like to take a few hours to look at the mountains. The ever-changing light changes the mountains so quickly. For this photo, I waited in the snow until the sun had almost completely disappeared behind the ridge. The evening light gives the rocks a blue hue, while the last vestige of sunshine is caught in the drifting snow on the summit.
Anyone who goes to the mountains more often will surely recognise the feeling you get when you stare at those high peaks. The feeling that you are just a tiny creature in a huge world. A beautiful world. That is the feeling I put into this photo and that is also what this image radiates. At the same time, the image is relatively simple and clean, making it fit perfectly into a modern interior.
