The Point of Light in the Distance

by ByNoukk

"This artwork shows an open coastal landscape merging sand dunes, beach grass and a lighthouse. The lighthouse stands in the background on the right, slightly elevated on a dune top, overlooking the sea. The sea is in the distance, with calm waves rolling slowly against the shore. The sandy path in the middle of the sculpture invites you to walk forward, towards the sea and the light. There is space between the elements, balancing air and earth.

The colour palette consists of soft shades of blue, grey, sand, white and light beige tones. The sky contains gradients and light textures reminiscent of clouds or mist. The vegetation consists of grey-brown and broken green tones.

The style combines graphic lines with painted surfaces, creating a weathered, timeless look. The brushwork and edges have a rough finish, as if the image is partially faded or embedded in textiles.

This work is suitable for hanging on the wall because of its calm look and invitation to imagination. The sculpture evokes a sense of desolation without emptiness, of silence without stillness. The presence of the lighthouse symbolises orientation, footing and perspective, while the path towards it leaves room for interpretation. This artwork fits well in a space where you want to unwind or seek inspiration, for example a reading corner, bedroom or office.
