The Sea of Flames After a very tense moment in the house where the fire brigade had to be involved, the inspiration to create this work arose. The colours of the flames against the git black background exude calm and warmth but can also be treacherous. This work was created on canvas as an acrylic pouring work where I used acrylic paint thinned with a pouring medium. By using a thin base, the paint flows together beautifully. Hanging the work playfully horizontally or vertically adds a whole new dimension to the work and you can always place it decoratively in almost any interior. Hopefully the inner fire will start burning for you too after seeing this work! I would say. grab a sheepskin, open a bottle of wine or maybe have some marshmallows with it.... enjoy, Melvin,
