With my twin sister, I go on a sisters' weekend every year. This year, London was on the program. The first highlight of the trip was the ABBA concert, but the second highlight was this huge tall mirrored building, The Shard. A super-fast elevator took us to the 122nd floor where a cozy lounge bar is located. From there we had wonderful views of the city. But I was also eager to take a picture of the building itself. I had already walked several ways around the building but the dense buildings made it impossible to find a good spot. Walking further, we arrived at the MoreLondon wharf. Again with a great view of the Thames. I saw some tall apartment buildings there that I saw beautiful reflections in. While wandering I ended up in this little street where I suddenly saw The Shard looming in the distance. As I walked further down the street, I saw on my right side a number of glass storefronts and yes: I saw the reflection of The Shard. I had to push my camera hard against the window to find the right angle of view but in the end I managed to capture the building beautifully.
In a modern and sleek interior, this photo will look great.
Since a few years I have discovered the passion for photography. I call myself primarily an outdoor photographer: when I'm outside, my eye scans the surroundings, looking for that one image that catches my eye, and which I can then take a nice picture of.
