About "The architect of lost hours"

by Klaus Tesching

About the artwork

She sits calmly at the table of history, her hands like instruments of time: in one, a book - thick, heavy, carved from wood - as the foundation of knowledge. In the other, an open pomegranate from which roots sprout, like thoughts that wind their way through the centuries.

In front of it rises a cathedral - not made of stone, but of memory. Filigree, high Gothic, almost too fine for this world. Her body seems to merge with the building, as if she were both the origin and the creator.

A huge clock hovers above her, its hands no longer knowing the direction. Cogwheels rain down like golden rain, dancing in spiralling orbits - as if time had dissolved and transformed into pure movement.

Vines, roots, wine, nuts, chalices: Symbolism as far as the eye can see. Everything seems to come from the same memory in which she lives. A world between mechanics and mysticism.

"The Architect of Lost Hours" is not a figure of power, but of order. She does not build with her hands, but with intention. She preserves not just a structure, but what it means: the dignity of time.

A visual parable about transience, creation and the silent work of those who are never named - and yet create everything.
