It's late afternoon, after 6 hours of driving we arrive in Gerardmer. It's raining, the light is already fading, but the call of the forest is too strong. I find this deciduous tree in the middle of the big pines, its colors stand out with the rain and the ambient fog isolating it from the chaos of the forest.
I take out the equipment despite the rain, it will be my first and last photo of the day. I am satisfied because it represents exactly the atmosphere that I felt at the time.
