Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘The breath of red’ by Nico van Velden

I took this picture while travelling through the heart of Australia, in the rugged area between Uluru and Kings Canyon. Here the world seems to stand still. The light is harsh and pure, the sky infinite, and the earth glows in deep shades of red and orange - like a living organism breathing under the sun.

The horizon stretches so far that it almost dissolves into the sky. There is no beginning and no end, only space. No traces of people, no sound except the wind gliding across the sand. The void is not deserted, but full - full of silence, of time, of presence.

The breath of red is an attempt to capture that infinite moment: the breath of the land itself, alive since long before we looked.
