The town of Étretat is sandwiched between steep chalk cliffs. One of these rocks is the imposing arch "La Manneporte". The arch is not visible from Étretat's beach. You can only admire it when climbing on top of the cliffs or when walking from the beach at low tide through an opening in the first rock formation to the enclosed next beach.
