A forest walk with some other photographers was planned in early fall 2021.
Shortly before that I received bad news about my mother's health; a maximum of six months to live.
My mother always loved to walk in the forest.
During my photo walk I noticed this fallen tree.
Put the camera on the tripod with a 2 second shutter speed.
By slightly turning the zoom lens in those 2 seconds you get those rays of light.
This is called intentional camera movement in professional terms.
When I saw this photo, my mother was moved and wanted this photo on her mourning card.
She is the fallen tree and the standing trees are the family members to catch each other.
