The famous sea cliffs of Reynisdrangar near Vík í Mýrdal in Iceland. Reynisdrangar are basalt pillars located under Mount Reynisfjall near the village of Vík í Mýrdal in southern Iceland. It is surrounded by a black sand beach that was ranked as one of the ten most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world in 1991. In 2021, Reynisfjara was ranked as the 6th best beach in the world. Of course, the black beaches at Vík are one of the main attractions, but it is the whole environment that makes these beaches so beautiful. Just before you drive into VÍk, you'll find the turnoff to the Reynisfjara viewpoint, a spot that is particularly popular to share on Instagram.
