About the artwork

Communion means fellowship with the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the form of bread and wine. The word communion is derived from the Latin word communio, which means "community". Communion is an important part of the mass (also called: mass offering or Eucharist) in the Catholic Church.

Here people stand in their neat Sunday clothes at the local church in communion clothes, dress or neat suit.

Fourqueux is a place and former municipality in the French department of Yvelines (region Île-de-France). The locality is part of the arrondissement Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
On 1 January 2019, the commune was dissolved and merged with the commune of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Maurice Denis (Granville, 25 November 1870 - Paris, 13 November 1943) was a French painter. He was one of the founders of the group Les Nabis. Within formalism Denis' statement is often quoted: 'Consider that a painting, before it is a warhorse, a female nude or a genre scene, is first of all a flat surface with colours in a certain order.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
