About the artwork
The first spring greeting.
Arrangement of blue grapes against a black background. These little flowers are among the first to bloom in spring.
They greet us in the Easter season.
Composition is inspired by the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. The proportions of the image also correspond to it.
This work was exhibited during a sculpture route in Amsterdam Zuid in the 40-day period in 2022, where it stood outside in a courtyard garden. Then printed on steel. If you are interested specifically in this work of 1 by 2 meters please contact me. It is still available.
Each flower was photographed individually with focus strike, so each flower is in full focus and therefore in focus.
The blue grape is a plant in the asparagus family or Hyacinthaceae. The flowers are often close together, and are almost spherical. The lower flowers are nodding, and the upper ones slightly upright. The latter usually without pistil or stamens.
