A day of photography in the north of the Netherlands is really worthwhile. In Drenthe, we found this beautiful forest near the Dwingelderveld. Fairytale-like if you tell me. From the car park at the Achter 's Zaand sheepfold, you walk straight into these woods towards the open field (Dwingelderveld).
Arriving further on at the sheepfold, we saw that the shepherd in the distance was walking with her flock and sheepdog to provide the sheep with their daily food and portion of exercise. The shepherd was very friendly and we had a quick chat. The sheep graze here all year round she told us. We then walked back through the beautiful forest towards P.
