The inner court is a complex of buildings in the Centre of the Hague, that has been the center of the Dutch and Dutch politics. Its origin goes back to the building of a Castle by the counts of Holland, who kept their residence since the thirteenth century. Later they were succeeded by stadtholders in this choice, the States of Holland and West-Friesland and the States General of the Netherlands, the States-General respectively at the time of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which this location elected because of her status as administrative centre. The Prime Minister, the highest political Director of Netherlands, has his Office here, in the turret.
