About ‘The last light on the beach, Denmark, Sildestrup Strand.’ by Christoph Jirjahlke

The last light of the day on the beach. The last showers have passed, the sun set 10 minutes ago and the Hille is playing a bit of drama.

Especially in the evening after the rain, the air is very clear and visibility is very good. There was virtually no wind and the Baltic Sea was very smooth. The headland on the horizon gently separates the reflections on the water from the sky.

As an exile from Fehmarn, where I grew up, I am always drawn to the water in Denmark, and I love the Baltic Sea.

The clouds are quite undramatic in themselves, no big towers or wild shapes, more like a churned-up, fluffy carpet. The last light of the day tries to catch the viewer's attention in a small strip. That's why the eye lingers before exploring the rest of the picture.

The picture radiates tranquillity and is effective due to its reduced colour and peculiar colour scheme.

Also ideal in large format for offices or doctors' surgeries.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
