About the artwork

Short winter period had in the Netherlands. In that one week, one day fog and a thick layer of snow came together in the Limburg countryside. This created fairy-like atmospheres. The lone tree, normally clearly visible, peeped out just above the fog. This combined with the snow in the foreground made for a fine looking image in my eyes. The tree seemed to mark the end of the road. I felt for peace and serenity around me. For a moment alone with the elements, far away from the restless world. Taking a breath and ge one of what nature has to offer us (quite unexpectedly). A photo that hardly needed any post-processing either.
