About "The main chapel in Turku Cathedral"

About the artwork

The large chapel in the cathedral in Turlu, Finland, exudes a serene and sacred atmosphere. The ceiling is a true work of art, richly painted with refined details and blue accents that give the space a heavenly feel. The colour blue, which recurs frequently, symbolises spirituality and harmony and gives the chapel a special ambience.

On either side of the altar are four stained-glass windows with a subtle blue colour scheme. The windows have a simple square pattern and allow light to flow into the chapel in a subdued way, contributing to the calm and contemplative atmosphere. They enhance the architectural simplicity and elegance of the space.

Six niches are placed along the walls, each with a religious painting depicting an important Biblical story. Carefully crafted, these paintings invite visitors to reflect and pray. The combination of art and architecture emphasises the devotional function of the chapel.

At the centre of the chapel is the altar, which draws the visitor's gaze towards it. Above the altar hangs an imposing painting of Jesus on the Mount of Olives, flanked by Moses and Elijah. This scene, depicting the Transfiguration of Christ, is the highlight of the chapel and reinforces the spiritual message of the space. The chapel is a harmonious fusion of simplicity and devotion.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
