The Markt in Delft, in the Dutch province of South Holland, is one of the largest historic market squares in Europe, measuring 120 by 50 metres. The square is virtually rectangular and is bounded on its short sides by the Nieuwe Kerk to the east and Delft City Hall to the west.
In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.
