About the artwork

Built in the 9th century on the island of Java, the temple of Borobudur is one of the most impressive Buddhist monuments in the world. Built from two million blocks of volcanic stone, it rises in nine levels symbolising the path to enlightenment. From its square base to its circular top, each terrace is decorated with finely sculpted reliefs depicting the life of the Buddha and the principles of the Dharma.
Under the clear Indonesian sky, the pyramidal structure of Borobudur rises majestically, like a giant mandala facing the surrounding mountains. The perfect harmony between geometry, spirituality and natural landscape makes this site a unique masterpiece of religious architecture.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Borobudur attracts pilgrims and visitors from all over the world, fascinated by the beauty and serenity of the site. More than a monument, it is a symbolic journey towards inner peace, a spiritual elevation made tangible by the stone and silence.
Every visit to this ancestral temple is a meditative experience, a communion between man, nature and the Buddhist faith.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
