Legends Boucles de Bastogne is a historic / oldtimer rallye held annually in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes.
From my passion as an oldtimer owner and enthusiast, this is for me a weekend of pure adrenaline; soaking up atmosphere of burnt oil and unburnt petrol from roaring engines.
You are literally right next to the track, the public road, where 300 or so vintage cars race by! It is always a mix of professional pilots, who, by invitation, drive someone's vintage car....and hobby pilots who compete equally with their weekend racer. Because they race against a set time, everyone can have an equal chance of winning a stage....which makes it just as attractive to watch!
The beautiful rolling landscape of the Belgian Ardennes means that in some spots you can see the cars coming from afar. In this image too; the Toyota MR throws up a cloud of dust as it makes its way over loose gravel.
