About ‘The old Whale.’ by Kaap Hoorn Gallery
Beach pavilion Cape Hoorn now stands at the end of Badweg Hoorn Hoorn but used to stand on West-Terschelling.
It is in fact the old pavilion " The Whale " which stood on Gfroene Strand from 1980 onwards.
On the wall hang two old photos and on the top one the pavilion is still on West!

Photography on the Dutch island of Terschelling around the lounge restaurant Kaap Hoorn where the forest meets the NorthSea shore.
The images are made by visual artist Jan Karel Lameer who regularly stays for long periods of time on the island to observe and photograph the northern lights (aurora borealis).
