I took this photo compilation on a very grey day in early December. There were still some leaves on the beeches and some green here and there. It is a compilation of 6 photos. Always at the same spot but with each photo I rotated the camera 5 degrees. The result reminded me of the Pantheon in Rome. That ancient temple has a hole in the roof that creates stability and allows light to enter. The dark branches of the trees all run towards the light at the top of the photo. I thought it was really a photo for the dark days before Christmas when we long for the coming of light. So I used this photo to wish my family and friends a Merry Christmas.
