About ‘The road to Castillo de Marcuello’ by Peter Bartelings

A winding path leads through the green countryside to the ruins of Castillo de Marcuello, high above the plains of Aragón. The solitary castle tower stands out strikingly against the soft, cloudy sky. An atmospheric Spanish landscape where history, tranquillity and endless space come together. About the photographer Born and bred in Amsterdam, Peter Bartelings feels a strong connection to his city. Over the years, he has frequently captured Amsterdam, from iconic spots to lesser-known cityscapes. Cities and landscapes at home and abroad, as well as nature and macro photography, also form part of his versatile portfolio.

As well as photography, Peter is involved in digital art. In this, he combines photography and image editing, giving classical masterpieces, amongst other things, a contemporary, sometimes surprising twist. Peter’s work is regularly sold and has now found a place on walls in various European countries.
