About ‘The sail has been set’ by Ronald Kehrwieder

The Californian poppy impresses with its orange nuances and enchantingly structured petals. In this picture, we see the last petal, whose shape is reminiscent of a sail, ready to set off on its journey into the world. The exposed filigree pistil is reminiscent of a sailor keeping his boat on course.
The Californian poppy accompanies and blooms throughout the summer and is always a feast for the eyes thanks to its constant change.
The photo was taken with a macro lens and an additional extension ring and only minimally refined with an image editing program.
It radiates peace and warmth, confidence and joie de vivre.
