About ‘The wet grasslands’ by Yvonne Le Loux

You can almost feel the wind blowing across this empty wet Dutch grassland. Not a person to be seen. It invites you to take your boat and go out on the water or sit along the shore and muse or meditate. This realistic painting is an impression of a photograph I took myself.

Original: acrylic on canvas, 70x100 cm

For me, art is an emotion. It can be love, wonder, humour, calmness, nostalgia and passion. It is something to enjoy looking at. Sometimes to make a statement. I like to work realistically but also experiment with impressionism and divisionism. Colours are important to me although I can also be touched by black and white.
I learned painting from a renowned artist and am still learning every day. I recently joined an art collective called Elixer Art.
