About "The world map on a cow"

About the artwork

A cow is a female bovine and as a mother animal is a major producer of milk. A dairy cow gives between 5 and 60 liters of milk per day in a lactation period, averaging 25 liters of milk per day. A cow is milked an average of 315 days per year. This amounts to an average production of 8000 liters of milk per cow per year. Some cows produce as much as 100,000 liters of milk during their lifetime.

Cows are therefore important for the food supply. Dairy farming strives to achieve an ever-increasing production per cow per year. A cow can reach an age of fifteen years and in exceptional cases twenty years. Nowadays, however, the average dairy cow only lives to be five to six years old. When a cow gives less milk or is not optimally fertile, she is taken to the slaughterhouse. She is then replaced by a heifer, a young cow, often with better genetic potential. As part of making the sector more sustainable, ways are being sought to allow cows to reach a higher productive age.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
