Three feathers covered in hoarfrost

by Henk Egbertzen

A tranquil and poetic scene depicting the cycle of nature. Three feathers are arranged against a soft, cream-white background with the texture of handmade paper.

From left to right, you can see a beautiful transformation. The bottom feather is still dark and pure. The large feather in the centre is half-covered by fine, glistening ice crystals. The small feather at the top right has been completely transformed into a delicate, white sculpture of frost.
- It is a story about letting go and becoming lighter. The heaviness of the dark feather slowly gives way to the fragile beauty of winter. - The vast amount of empty space surrounding the feathers (the negative space) lends the work a deep, meditative tranquillity. It invites you to pause for a moment and reflect on the small, fleeting things in life.
-
In a modern interior, this is an absolute eye-catcher. The soft tones and the handcrafted paper texture blend seamlessly with the Japandi and wabi-sabi interior styles. It is a focal point that instantly brings a sense of calm to the room.

A timeless and refined work of art for anyone who loves the magic of winter, the beauty of nature and the power of a quiet transformation.
