I found this special titania's mother-of-pearl during a walk near the refuge de Rosuel in France. The beautiful orange color and patterns on the underside of the wing immediately attracted my attention. This beautiful walk is dotted with flower and butterflies. Really a pleasure for nature people who love it. The top of forest pearl butterflies are dark with orange spots. As the name suggests, it is a butterfly from the mother-of-pearl family, which includes foxes, mother-of-pearl butterflies and butterflies of prey. The Latin name is Boloria titania The butterfly does not occur in the Netherlands, but in the Palearctic area. Around the Alps.
