About ‘To Mieu pagoda: Hué sanctuary’ by Frank Photos

The To Mieu pagoda, located within the walls of the imperial city of Hué, is a fascinating monument dedicated to the emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. Built in 1821, the pagoda honours Vietnam's former rulers with its majestic architecture and peaceful atmosphere. The building is adorned with finely sculpted roofs, imposing pillars and frescoes depicting scenes from imperial life. Inside, altars adorned with decorations and symbols honour the ancestors, recalling Vietnam's strong Confucian influence. To Mieu attracts visitors as much for its history as for its soothing beauty. It's a spiritual place where you can experience the heritage of Vietnamese culture in a verdant setting. A must for any visitor to Hué.
