"Together: A portrait of two Bull Thistles" is a macro photograph of two beautiful bulbs of the Bull Thistle (Echinops). These two bulbs differ not only in size but also in the stages they are in. The left Thistle bulb (as seen from the viewer) is almost completely in bloom and looks soft and "caressable". This bulb is also a lot bigger than the one on the right. The bulb on the right is smaller and only has flowers at the top. Most of this bulb does not look as soft as the left bulb. They look like spikes protruding from the bulb. These are still the budding flowers and in a few days this bulb, like the others, will be a flowering bulb. I liked capturing just this difference. The fact that the leaves also reach out like a hand to the other bulb gives the image something sweet, just like a couple in love.
This picture could, for example, beautifully hang as wall decoration in the dining room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the couch in the living room!
