The photo: "Together: portrait of three thistle bulbs" is a macro photo of three bulbs of a Bull Thistle. These three bulbs are different sizes and in addition, all three are also in different stages.
The largest Bulb of Bull Thistle is in bloom, if you zoom in on this flower you can see the soft petals organically over this bulb. A soft and friendly sight.
The middle bulb already has some flowers on the upper side, but most of this bulb is still "prickly". (The bulb looks prickly, but they are not real spines, they are the flowers before they open. But the pointed shape, (and probably the association with a thistle ) makes them look like spines.
The smallest of these three bulbs is hidden under the two larger bulbs. This one has no flowers at all yet.
The main colours in this work are the turquoise colour of the background, the blue-purple tones of the Bulbs and the green tones of the stems and leaves.
This image reminds me of a family portrait, mainly because of the position of the bulbs.
A calm, simple image that could hang beautifully in the bedroom, living room, for example, but of course also as wall decoration in the waiting room.
