El Torcal de Antequera, also known as El Torcal for short, is located about 50 kilometers from Málaga, Spain. It is a nature reserve bursting with limestone formations modelled by erosion into striking shapes. El Torcal has been on the list of protected bird areas and natural reserves since 1989. El Torcal de Antequera is located on top of a large hill, or rather, El Torcal is a large hill. On the north side of El Torcal is the town of Antequera.
