About ‘Tower on the coast’ by Wouter van der Pluym

A stately white lighthouse stands firmly anchored on a rocky island, surrounded by calm waters and a rugged landscape in the background. The warm red cap of the tower forms a striking contrast with the light-coloured buildings and gives the whole scene a distinctive and characteristic appearance.

The composition is framed by soft, blurred branches in the foreground, giving the viewer the sense of having found a hidden spot from which to observe this scene. Behind the lighthouse, wooded hills rise up, adding depth and a natural context to the image.

The calm weather conditions and soft light create a serene atmosphere, in which the lighthouse appears to stand as a silent sentinel over the water. The image exudes stability, orientation and trust—a place that has guided those travelling across the water for generations. This work brings a calm, maritime atmosphere to a space and fits perfectly into an interior where tranquillity, nature and a sense of openness take centre stage.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
