In Fredericia harbour lies the "Svitzer Trym" - a strong and robust tugboat, ready for action. With her powerful engines and tough appearance, she is a familiar sight in this Danish port. Every day she escorts large ocean-going vessels safely to their berths or helps them manoeuvre in the narrow harbour basin. The Svitzer Trym symbolises strength, reliability and craftsmanship - an indispensable link in Fredericia's maritime traffic. With the Lillebælt in the background.
Port photography is a fascinating form of photography that focuses on capturing the activity in ports. Port towns are often bustling centres of trade and industry, with ships, trucks and trains moving in and out to load and unload goods. This offers photographers the opportunity to capture beautiful images of large ships docked at the quayside, crane machines loading and unloading containers from and onto the ships, and workers busy at work. Port photography can be challenging, as there is often a lot of movement and activity, and the light is constantly changing.
