At the Air Force Days, the Turkish Stars shot across the circus field in their striking red-and-white NF-5 fighter jets, perfectly in formation and in sync with each other. This photo shows the moment when the fighter jets fly tightly above each other, their smoke systems glowing red and white against the sky. The contrast of the shiny fuselage and the Dutch sky gives the picture strength and national pride. The Turkish Stars are the Turkish Air Force's demonstration team, founded in 1992, and are praised for their supersonic, precise summations and impressive formation flights. For me, as an aviation photographer, this is the picture of craftsmanship, discipline and technical finesse - a visual spectacle that lives up to the Turkish Stars' fame.
