The well-known Tuschinski Theatre on Reguliersbreestraat in Amsterdam. Designed by Polish-born vest maker Abraham Tuschinski, who left Poland at the age of 18 to get out of military service. He first settled in Rotterdam, but had big dreams of placing a (cinema) theatre in beautiful Amsterdam. The theatre has six cinema halls and was built in 1921. It is the only theatre still serving the purpose for which it was designed and, a century later (2021), has been voted the most beautiful theatre in the world.
