About ‘Twins at the Beach’ by Betty Verheij

Set apart from other shells, these shells were content simply with each other’s company. Not a grain of sand could come between them.

The traces left by the flowing water tell the story of how they once swam together in the sea, now washed up on shore. Casting long shadows: tomorrow is another day.

Taken on the beach at Schokkerhaven, Noordoostpolder. Situated on the shores of the Ketelmeer. As a photographer, I love to seek out the little things that often go unnoticed. You might just walk right past them, or perhaps even step on them.
