The flagged doughnut (Dicrurus paradiseus) is a species of songbird in the family Dicruridae (drongo's). Previously, the Ceylonese crested drongo in south-western Sri Lanka was considered a subspecies of this bird. The flagged drongo is 30 cm long, plus the 30 cm long tail with extended ornamental feathers. These long ornamental feathers are a distinctive feature, although 40% of the birds observed lack these ornamental feathers and could then be mistaken for the crow-billed drones.
