The fulmar petrel (Fulmarus glacialis), also known as a mallee, is a seabird of the order of tube-beaked birds (Procellariiformes). At first glance, the fulmar looks like a gull, but petrels and gulls are not directly related. The petrel is grey and white with a yellow bill. Its length is 45-50 cm and wingspan 101-117 cm. There are both dark and light colour variations of the fulmar.
