The Tyrolean castle in Tyrol near Merano in the Burgraviato was the ancestral seat of the Counts of Tyrol and the cradle of the county of Tyrol. From 1901 Putz worked a lot 'en plein air'. He mainly painted female figures, regularly also nudes.
